COMMUNITY GARDENING PROGRAM

For over 26 years FoodShare Toronto has developed replicable, scalable models for community gardening in low income neighbourhoods, city parks, schools and community sites, through the publication of Canada's first Community Garden Manual (How Does Our Garden Grow? A Guide to Community Garden Success by Laura Berman, Toronto 1996) and peer training workshops to start gardens, mid-scale composting, urban beekeeping, Footprint and Trellis sustainable school gardens integrated into our Food Literacy curriculum, and most recently large one acre community and school market gardens.
